Mobile RPGs you can enjoy twenty minutes at a time
I love RPGs, but most mobile ones assume you'll sit and grind for hours. The good ones are built around the way people actually use phones — in short, interrupted bursts.
Ember of the Hollow is my go-to example. It saves constantly, its combat is quick to resume, and nothing about its progression demands a long stretch. You can do a battle, a conversation, and one small quest, then close the app without feeling you left something hanging.
What makes this work is clear goals. A good short-session RPG always tells you what you were doing when you reopen it. The ones that fail here are the ones with a fog of menus you have to re-navigate every time.
If you've bounced off mobile RPGs because they felt like a second job, try one built for your schedule instead. The genre is far better for it.
