Five arcade racers that actually feel good on a touchscreen
Touchscreen racing is a minefield. Too many games slap on tilt controls that fight you, or buttons that cover half the road. After a lot of trial and error, these are the ones that got the feel right.
The common thread is forgiveness. The best mobile racers let you recover from a mistake, give you a generous drift window, and keep the camera readable at speed. Neon Drift Circuit is my current favorite for exactly that reason — the drift input is wide enough to feel good without being automatic.
If you prefer tilt, look for games that let you calibrate the neutral angle. A lot of complaints about tilt steering come down to a bad default more than a bad system.
My short tip for any arcade racer: spend ten minutes in the settings before you judge it. Swapping to the control layout that suits your grip can completely change a game.
